Trampolines: what to do in extreme weather conditions?
Because a trampoline is always left outside, it is important to take extra measures during extreme weather. Read about what we advise in this EXIT Toys blog.
Autumn and winter: unfortunately these are months in which the trampoline will hardly be used or maybe not even at all. What is the best thing you can do with the trampoline during this period?
In autumn and winter the EXIT Toys trampolines are fine to stay outside! In this case we do advise you to store away the protection pad and safety net (tubes included). With our action plan, removing the safety net can be done in a flash. Protect the rest of the trampoline with an EXIT trampoline cover. This way, the frame, the mat and the springs will remain in good condition.
Leaving the trampoline outside is not only practical, but it also makes it easier to (dis)assemble when the weather is nice enough for outdoor play in autumn or winter.
Look after the trampoline even during the autumn and winter months: check regularly to see if there is not too much dirt or rain gathered on top of the trampoline. Secure it in stormy weather and keep a close eye on the condition of the trampoline. In spring and summer too!
You can also choose to store away the entire trampoline in autumn and winter. This will take up extra (dis)assembling time. Make sure that you follow the instructions of the included manual carefully when disassembling: but apply it vice versa! For example, take out the springs crosswise, so that they won’t stretch out.
And please remember: there will be sunshine after rain and spring follows closely after winter! Time to enjoy your EXIT trampoline to the fullest! Please note: even in spring and summer extreme weather may occur, read here which measures you can then take.
